KDA spins off Revelation

January 14th, 2008

The reaction to Revelation has been fantastic - so much so that it has taken on a life of its own. So befitting this great reaction, on October 1, 2007 KDA Research spun off Revelation into it’s own company. Steve August, who led the development of Revelation will be stepping away from KDA Research to lead the new Revelation, Inc, serving as its CEO. Of course, Kimberly Daniels August, KDA’s namesake will continue on her work here at KDA Research. For more information about Revelation, please visit www.revelationglobal.com.

Goodbye San Francisco, Hello Portland

June 25th, 2007

After 10 years in business in the great city of San Francisco, KDA Research is pulling up stakes and moving to Portland, Oregon. While we have loved our time here in San Francisco, we believe Portland is the best place for us to continue to thrive - both for our family and for KDA Research. So that’s where we will be after July 1.

We are sad to be leaving San Francisco, especially the many wonderful people that we have met, worked with and for, and in many cases became friends with. But we are also tremendously excited about living Portland with its natural beauty and perfect mix of small town livability and urban sophistication.

While we are moving geographically, we will remained centered on our mission and our work - giving our clients a window into their customers’ worlds. We look forward to continuing our work in a great new city.

An Exciting Fall!

September 8th, 2006

Fall 2006 promises to be an exciting time for KDA Research for a couple of reasons.

First, we have several great speaking engagements at some super events. First up is Friday, September 27th at the QRCA Annual Conference in Atlanta. I will be presenting an interactive workshop on Immersive Research. The next week on Thursday October 5 at 12pm, I will be presenting “Beyond Bulletin Boards” as a QRCA Qcast web seminar. The next day it’s off to Athens, Greece as I will be presenting a talk entitled “100 Stories at Our Fingertips: Re-imagining Online Qualitative Research” at the ESOMAR Qualitative conference. I will be presenting twice, once on Monday October 9th, and then again on Tuesday October 10th. For more details and a full run down on KDA’s fall events, check out our events page.

The second reason this fall is going to be exciting here at KDA is that we will be release our latest version of Revelation - our online qualitative research system. We’ve taken all the lessons we’ve learned from the past two years of pushing the envelope of online qualitative research and created a breakthrough web application for qualitative research. Revelation 2.0 has been rebuilt from the ground up to make it fast and easy for researchers to gather rich qualitative data - including digital media - and quickly analyze it right within Revelation. We believe Revelation 2.0 will change the nature of online qualitative research and we can’t wait to show it to the world.

We are putting the finishing touches on it and we’ll have some more news very soon!
